• SellaBand, the Amsterdam based music platform, is proud to announce the release of The Elements, the first full album from UK act Second Person.
 
• Produced by Tony Platt (AC/DC, Iron Maiden) Second Person have secured their place in history by becoming the first British band to release an album through the unique SellaBand.com concept.
 
• The recording of the album was made possible by over 700 believers, from all around the world, who demonstrated their faith in the band by investing a minimum of US$10.
 
• It took Second Person six months to reach the required US$50,000 investment needed.
 
• Second Person, who formed in London in early 2002, comprises singer / pianist Julia Johnson, producer / bassist Mark Maclaine and drummer Alvaro Lopez. Commenting on their phenomenal achievement.
 
• Second Person will be performing The Elements exclusively, and in its entirety, at SellaBand’s first birthday celebrations, dubbed ‘SellaBration ’07’, on August 16 at the world famous Paradiso venue in Amsterdam.
 
• Since its launch on August 15 2006 over 4,500 aspiring artists have signed up to join the SellaBand, with Believers coming from over 100 different countries. Seven artists, from five different countries, have raised the required US$50,000 through crowdsourcing on SellaBand.com.
 
• On August 9 SellaBand will be holding an online listening session, where believers can come together and listen to The Elements whilst chatting live to the band, offering a truly interactive experience.
